How To Disable Comments in a WordPress Page or Post
Comments can be disabled on any page or post when it is being edited. This can be done by clicking on screen options at the top right of your screen when editing a page or post, and ticking the discussion box if it is not enabled already.
Once enabled, you can scroll down to the discussion panel under the text editor and untick the Allow comments box.
Disabling Comments on Multiple WordPress Posts or Pages
- Click on Posts in the admin sidebar and under posts, select All Posts. For Pages, click on Pages > All Pages.
- Tick the posts you would like to disable comments for.
- Select Edit from the Bulk Actions at the top of the screen and click the Apply button.
- Under Comments, select Do not allow and Click the Update button.
Disable WordPress Comments by Default
You can also disable comments totally on all future posts. Go to Settings > Discussion and untick “Allow people to post comments on new articles”.
